To Linda Gant/Pridmore Term one dorm: Sue Morris, Theresa Lomax, you and me.
Term two: I was put in a two-dorm to help a new girl called Sharon. Had to misbehave to get back into a bigger one. Wally and matron insisted on open windows, now can't sleep if they're closed. Term three: we were in a five dorm. There was an orchard outside our window (not there any more)and I nearly died of fright scrumping with you and some third years one night. Also remember Viv and Lynne Ryall in fourth year, and Lauren in third year. Otherwise, walks in the Kurpark, socials, trips to the Mohne Dam and a very boring stay in sick bay. No photos of those days - such a shame for a seminal time of life. Forever grateful to Miss Davies for making me see the point of maths.

Re-union update as of the 09/05/10:

Hi All, As I stated on my previous message the cut-off date for attendance is the 10/05/10 which is tomorrow. I have to confirm numbers with the hotel and make final arrangements. I realize that there may be people who wish to attend and still can’t commit as of yet. We will not turn people away, but it would be better knowing that you’re attending.

We have had a recent surge of attendees of late which is good news. However we have had people contact myself or Max to say that they’re attending, but have not paid the deposit or indeed the full amount. We need to rectify this as soon as possible; to that end I will include the attendance register with this update. Hopefully this will also give a boost to the `might attends’ once they see who is attending. I hope that the various applications will let me upload a `large’ update.

Hi, just thought I would let anyone that is interested know that I have just spent a pleasant hour or so chatting to a Marlborough House Legend from the seventies....... Geoff Gravener, yes many of us that knew him back then will be surprised that he survived his wild days but I am pleased to report he is alive and well and seems in good spirits,

Pat Aris - exwindsorbfpo domain appears to be registered until 30/1/2011 and it looks like it's hosted on a server in the US of A. The blank page may be indicative of a broken site rather than a dead one...there is a server there and it does appear to respond. The site is run by Mike Massey (this is in the DNS registration and I can confirm this through previous correspondence with him about the site). The email address registered in the DNS entry for him is: domains (at) alternativefocusmedia (dot) com The site went AWOL for a while about a year or so ago and then came back to life. He might not keep an eye on it and an email (or two) might bring it back to life. cheers Andrew

Hi Carol, Unfortunately, you had left Windsor a couple of years before the time I started. I was in Edinburgh House too and I recongnise most of the names you mentioned. Especially Izzy Forbes. I remember her plain as day. She took me under her wing from my first day there and we shared a dorm together - a six bedder on the middle floor. I was badly bullied by a girl called Pat Bates and her cronies and Izzy was so kind to me. I only knew her for one term as I started in the May and she left after the summer term. I remember she had a great sense of humour, but not everyone got it and she didn't follow the crowd either. Haha. I wonder how she's doing. I will never forget how kind she was to me. Erica - I have one of those photo booth black and white things with Eric in it. It was taken on a night when about 6 of us 'escaped' in the middle of the night to go into town. We were only 15 and we didn't have a clue what we were going to do when we got through that fence. It was exciting though. Haha. And 50 ain't so bad Carol, I still feel 16 in my head. Take care and hope you hear from some of your friends. It's great when you do. Matron Schroeder was still there when I left. I'm in touch with about 6 of my ex Windsor friends now and there are so many more I would love to hear from. x

Hi to all 60s Windsorites. Not been on for a while but I came across David Chedgey when Googling last night. I remember him well and his partner in crime Bary Cummings. He is 70 years old now and still going strong.

To all those wondering what’s going on with the exwindsorbfpo web site. Mike informs me that the site was not compatible with a recent upgrade of the server it sat on and is planning to migrate it to a replacement framework, hopefully sometime in August. So it's stand by your beds until then.

Thank you Andrew. I emailed Mike Massey and he tells me there is a problem with the server for the exwindsorbfpo site. He doesn't think he'll be able to have a look at it until August, due to work commitments. At least we know now.

Friends, Alas this will be my last information message…. Just under four weeks to go now. Plans have been finalized with the venue; all we need to do is turn up.
We have roughly 130 people attending and that is without people paying on the day, and those who are still thinking about it. Please do not be deterred, if you are thinking about it, come along.

There is a relatively small group of us meeting up on the Friday night and going for a meal. Please feel free to come along. We will be meeting in a pub called “The Sailors” this is situated near the Town Bridge at the Harbor. Then onto the “Gurhka Restaurant” which is close by. We will be meeting for 7.00pm then on for the meal around 8.00pm.
Now the more football astute of you may realize that England will be playing Algeria at 7.30pm so you may want to watch this first and meet up later, again at the Sailors.
The venue for the function will be open from 12 midday on the Saturday, there will be a small reception area to book you in / or collect your money. As I’ve said previously we will also be collecting for “Help 4 Heroes”. This will be low key and you may see the odd collection receptacle dotted around. I will also have the H4H wristbands; you can obtain one of these for £2. The function will then go onto 1.00am. During the day we will have a music playing facility and a games console set up (Wii). We will have the Buffet for 6.30pm and onto the evenings Disco.

I /we would also like to take this opportunity to thank the “Windsor Society” for the donation of £250 towards the cost of the event.
I will not be posting anymore messages for the event, however if you have any queries then please do not hesitate to contact me. Best Regards Jed

To Glenn Perrers, I remember you and Ken very well. As you said, Ken was in Group 66 and I was in Bash St. Both were school groups at the same time....we had a friendly rivalry that lasted for almost 3 years. Great times. Best wishes to both of you.
