Two messages side by side, with a "hidden" link! Hi there, Jean - yes, I remember Jean-Phillipe Blin, the gorgeous French assistant, he was also a concert pianist in his "spare" time, and I did the lighting for him when he put on a concert at school - I also remember his predecessor, not in the least bit dashing, Monsieur Massot (nicknamed Maggot). The link is that Jean and I were in St James - and Heidi mentions Miss Beckwith, who was St James House Mistress. She used to wear squeaky shoes, so you could hear her coming down the corridor at night - a signal to keep quiet if you were out of bed talking - but about 9.30 pm she would change into slippers - that was when you were most likely to be caught!

Since first posting a message, I have remembered that I was in St. James, not Edinburgh, thanks Pamela for reminding me with that memory of Miss Beckwith. I have fond memories of being in the choir and still have some sheet music from The Merchant of Venice, (David Purvis was the choir master then). We also celebrated Princess Anne's wedding to Lynley-Jones with music and words arranged by David. No television for us to watch so we improvised.
I am trying to contact Lesley Annable, (current list). Jennifer Bolwell and Monika Greenwood, (lapsed list). Heidi Bedford (StJ59-61)

Hi Tony
You probably do not remember me! I live on the other side of the world in Australia and I met you while I was at W.G.S. I was in Hillsbourough house and
I think I met you through one of our socials. By the way its Carol Large now Everett. I have been trying to find Chris Morgan and maybe you may remember her? Memories of those times are pretty vague, it was only through a couple of letters you sent me all those years ago that I am able to write this now.
Hope life for you has been as interesting as it has for me.
